State home department decides to give funds for road accident victims

PUNE: The state home department has decided to give funds for the road accident victims. In the state, every year 13,000 persons loose their lives, and 45,000 persons are injured. The home minister is giving funds from racecourse.
The proposals for the accident victims have to be submitted within one month. Good samaritans would have to submit the details to district police superintendent, highway police, and city police.The entries of people helping the accident victims who could be both NGOs or individuals have to be sent to the superintendents and commissioners, who would announce cash price ranging from Rs 50000 to Rs 1.5 lakh.
The GR dated February 25, 2014, reads that several lives are lost each year in accidents for want of timely help, rescue and assistance, ending up devasting several families. Delayed learning about the accident, often delays the response time. In such cases, many a times, the golden hour is lost, bringing down the chances of survival of the victims. The official said that that the governments reiteration is aimed at sending a positive message that those rescuing the accident victims would be rewarded by the government. The additional chief secretary would be the president. The other member would be the secretary home department.
